Creating a Jedi Character Jedi Character Creation has been turned over to the Jedi Council as a whole rather than remaining in the hands of the Division Leader for approval. It is still important to keep in mind the general character creation points from the Creating a Persona For Foe pages. Playing a master or a knight holds both OOC and IC responsibility. One must be a mentor for their padawan IC and OOC and assist in role-play scenarios. Also petitioning the Council IC provides role-play opportunity that may lead in other directions. Promotions will be based on role-play that the Jedi Council is aware of. The members of the Jedi Council may be e-mailed as a group OOC and IC at: jedicouncil@deathstar.org

Padawans

Anyone may create a padawan/student learner.

All new members of Forces of the Empire wishing to play a Jedi must start out as a padawan learner or student.

Knights

If you have been in the club for 2 years you may create a knight wihtout petitioning the Jedi Council.

Masters

Creation of a Master must have the OOC approval of the Jedi Council.

Exceptions

For those who have not been a part of FoE, but who have actively RP'ed a Knight and/or Master in another group: they may work with the Jedi Council OOC to integrate their character into FoE. This does not mean they will automatically keep the rank of Knight or Master, but the council may allow it.

If a member kills off their Jedi, they still need to petition the Council OOC to create a new Master. If the character is a Knight and the character died before the 2 years of membership in the club have been met, then the player must petition the council OOC to create a new Knight. once the two years membership has been met a Knight may be automatically created.

The Jedi Council section leader must play a Master.

Promotions & Taking Padawans

When taking a padawan the Knight or Master must declare their intentions, IC, with the Jedi Council, unless the Jedi Council assigns the Padawan to the Knight or Master.

A Knight or Master who has a padawan will IC declare their intention for their padawan to take their trial and IC approve the padawan's passage to Knight Hood.

A person wishing to have their character promoted to knight may petition the Jedi Council OOC. Or Speak to a Master on the council IC.

The Jedi Council may also IC and OOC discuss the potential promotion of a character without a petition being brought forward by the player or character.
