I enjoy reading science fiction, fantasy, and comic books, and watch way too much TV. Like what? Glad you asked:

• Steven Brust is always a good read, especially his Dragaera series. He's written other good books too, but this series remains my favorite. He reminds me of Roger Zelazny in his ability to write in different styles.
• Diana Gabaldon's historical fiction books are the kind of stories that you just can't put down. Even when it's 5:30 a.m., and you have to get up for work at 8. Not that this ever happened to me, of course. :)
• Walter Jon Williams is another favorite of mine, and Hardwired is one of the best cyberpunk novels I've ever read.
• Roger Zelazny always impressed me with the variety of styles he was capable of writing in. As anyone who's checked out the role-playing section of my page can guess, I'm especially fond of his Amber series. He will be sorely missed.

• A Distant Soil: I've been collecting this series for about 11 years now, through all of its various incarnations and publishing companies. It has some truly incredible artwork, and I'll be sad to see it end.
• Elfquest: Another longtime series, I started off by reading the 4th graphic novel (which was the last book in the series at the time). Despite reading the ending before the beginning, I fell in love with both the artwork and the story, and have been reading it ever since. What's even cooler is that one of my best friends is now an artist on the book!
• Knights of the Dinner Table: Hoody-hoo! Nothing I can say about this series will do it justice. Suffice it to say that if you play, or ever have played, any role-playing games, you won't be able to stop laughing when you read an issue. And I join the legions who've told Jolly, "I used to play with people just like that!" I was Sara, of course. :) I've even had my picture appear in one of the issues. Of course, it was with a group of people who were doing a live reading at GenCon 98, and none of us were identified, but it was still pretty neat.
• The Legion of Super-Heroes: The series that got me started collecting, I can still remember the first issue I ever read. There was a time when the only thing that kept me reading it was the fact that it was my first series, but it's now one of my favorites again, especially since the restart.

• Babylon 5: The best science fiction TV series ever written. I admit that some of the acting was pretty wooden in the first season, but it definitely improved, and the writing was almost always top-notch. It was the only show where I could watch an episode two or three times and still pick up something new. Not to mention the occassional "Oh, that's what was really going on two years ago." I miss it terribly know that it's ended.
• Buffy the Vampire Slayer: OK, I'll admit it, I watch the show. It's actually very well writen. Now I'm addicting my friends.
• Farscape: My favorite science fiction show, after Babylon 5. Like with Buffy, I waited a year or so before checking it out, then after I did, I kicked myself for not watching it earlier. Fortunately, the early episodes are starting to come out on DVD.
• Mystery Science Theater 3000: I only wish they'd MSTed Star Crash before the show ended. But I guess even they had to have standards.
• The Simpsons
• The X-Files
