Akhan is as blind to bribery attempts as Ngaya is to talking, demon- possessed swords. The Tirrikamu in the office, however, was not so impaired, and accepted many on Akhan's behalf. After Hereksa Qolyemu schooled Akhan on this topic, Akhan made sure that the Tirrikamu knew of his enlightenment. And the Tirrikamu was so grateful, that he gave those daggers to Akhan.
